Universal serial bus to be truly universal
The European Commission has a mandate in place for the microUSB port to now be used as the standard charger for mobile phones, which has been backed by 14 leading handset manufacturers.
Mobile phone network O2 has recently updated the Dell Streak tablet they exclusively sell, to Android ‘Froyo’ 2.2. The roll out from Android ‘Éclair’ 2.1 happened last week, which was initially upgraded back in September from the shipping Android ‘Donut’ 1.6.
Qwerty WP7 for Deutschland
Mobile phone network O2 has opened up pre-ordering in Germany of the UK-yet-to-be-announced HTC 7 Pro handset – a Windows Phone 7 mobile, with a slide-out keyboard.
The week began with One Mobile Ring reporting the Google’s Nexus S handset has had its price slashed, where HTC and Vodafone updated the budget Android phone Wildfire handset.
