HTC Flyer tablet arrives on T-Mobile

Everything Everywhere is still taking the tablets

T-Mobile has now listed the High Tech Computer Corporation’s first ever tablet device in the HTC Flyer, with a cost attached of £199 and an accompanying £25 monthly contract.

The HTC Flyer has a recommended retail price of £599, where the subsidised cost is tied to a 24-month price plan with a 2GB data allowance – with 1GB to be used at anytime, with a second GB to be used between midnight and 10am.

Mobile phone network Three has been carrying the HTC Flyer tablet since early May this year, on a £30.99 a month contract with a 15GB data allowance and £169 for the actual device.

The other part of the Everything Everywhere umbrella company that’s made up of T-Mobile and Orange still has the HTC Flyer listed as ‘Coming Soon’,

HTC’s Flyer arrives in an aluminium unibody, with a 7-inch touch screen and a stylus, whilst being powered by a 1.5Ghz processor and running from Android ‘Gingerbread’ 2.3, instead of ‘Honeycomb’ 3.0 which has been designed especially for tablets.

Included within the tablet is the HTC Sense overlay to the Google mobile OS, which has been reworked for the larger display based product with a 3D home screen whilst also offering up Flash 10 and HTML5 capabilities.

One Mobile Ring caught up with HTC at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, where we captured a hands-on walk through of the Flyer here in pictures and on video here where we have subsequently received the tablet – for a more through set of images here, along with publishing a review here.
