The new WP OS is on EverythingEverywhere’s Radar

Mobile phone network Orange has made public it will be carrying the recently announced HTC Radar mobile phone, which is based upon the upcoming Windows Phone 7.5 OS – known by the code-name of ‘Mango’.

The High Tech Computer Corporation’s Radar device was unveiled along with the 4.7-inch screen Titan phone, where both handsets are the very first mobiles that are set to arrive with the latest Microsoft platform.

Orange has added the HTC Radar to their ‘Coming Soon’ page on their website, although no pre-ordering webpage has been added as yet to the network’s site.

HTC’s Radar arrives with a 3.8-inch 480×800 SLCD capacitive touch screen, with a single core 1GHz processor, a 5 megapixel camera and 8GB of internal storage.

The Microsoft Windows Phone 7.5 ‘Mango’ is set to carry 500 new features, with its IE9 using the same code as the desktop version and Twitter and Linkedin now integrated into the People Hub.

Orange hasn’t listed any prices or tariff details for the HTC Radar, although they are currently carrying the HTC Mozart 7 Windows Phone 7 handset on contracts for £30 a month – which One Mobile Ring believes could be matched, with the HTC Radar ‘Mango’ mobile.
