One Mobile Ring has exclusively learnt that Virgin Media will soon be announcing popular music streaming service Spotify will be accessible on the Virgin Mobile phones – without incurring any data charges, or affecting the accompanying phone’s data allowance.
Virgin Media unveiled in July this year an exclusive agreement with the digital music service Spotify, which will make Virgin Media the only digital entertainment provider in the UK to offer the music platform across multiple services – where this upcoming news will see the first step in this process.
Virgin will be offering Spotify packages for their customers that will see the mobile broadband allowance on the phone not affected in anyway, when purchased through Virgin.
This will make listening to and finding new music worry-free and more affordable, from Spotify’s massive catalogue of over 13 million tracks available to customers however they choose.
Virgin Media will also be integrating Spotify into its TV offering, through its TV service powered by TiVo, as well as being able to provide a bundled solution for customers with Virgin Mobile handsets.
No prices or costings have been mentioned to One Mobile Ring about the Spotify offering, only that it will be made available soon.
