Mobile phone networks Three, Vodafone and O2 will be selling the Samsung Android ‘Ice Cream Sandwich’ 4.0 Galaxy Nexus handset

Although no tariff costs have been shared

Three of the top UK mobile phone networks have all announced that they will be carrying the recently launched Samsung Galaxy Nexus – which is the very first handset to arrive running the new Google Android ‘Ice Cream Sandwich’ 4.0 phone operating system.

Three, Vodafone and O2 have all confirmed they will be retailing the Samsung Galaxy Nexus – which is their second device for Google, following on from last year’s Google Nexus S.

O2 made public the news from their own Twitter account, in a tweet that reads: ‘Who wants an Ice-Cream Sandwich? We do – that’s why we’re proud to say the Samsung Galaxy Nexus with Android 4.0’s coming to O2 soon…’

Vodafone also used Twitter to unveil their intentions of stocking the Android 4.0 based Nexus, in a tweet that reads: ‘It was an early start/late finish, but we can confirm #GALAXYNexus is coming to Vodafone! More info to follow soon #Android #ICS’

Three brought out their news over Facebook from their ThreeUK account, in a message that reads: ‘In the early hours of this morning Samsung UK announced their latest smartphone; Galaxy Nexus. We’re happy to confirm it’ll be coming to Three.’

The 3G based network went one further and produced a hands on video that’s seen below, showing the Samsung Galaxy Nexus and all its features.
