Samsung Galaxy Nexus – hands on walkthrough in pictures of the world’s first Android Ice Cream Sandwich phone

OMR has attended the European launch event for the Samsung Galaxy Note Android mobile phone with a 5-inch screen, which doubled up as the Europe launching stage for the new Samsung Galaxy Nexus handset.

This mobile phone will be the very first handset to arrive running the new Android ‘Ice Cream Sandwich’ 4.0 operating system – that offers the best of the tablet ‘Honeycomb’ 3 OS, with new developments on the handset platform.

We are now publishing these hands-on images of the new device, which is due to arrive in November this year on a range of mobile phone networks and high-street resellers.

Samsung’s Galaxy Nexus will ship with a 4-inch Super AMOLED curved screen, whilst powered by a dual core 1.2GHz processor, with 16GB of internal storage, a 5 megapixel camera and NFC capabilities.

The images below highlight the phones’ dimensions, along with features such as the new multi-tasking ability where apps can be swiped off the screen to close them; the version of the OS running and ICS web browser.
