Three announces mobile broadband WIFI router for 3G dongles

And HSPA+ devices too

Mobile phone network Three has unveiled a mobile broadband WIFI hub from ZTE, which can be used with a USB 3G dongle to offer up mobile broadband at home and for up to 5 different devices.

The ZTE MF10 dongle adapter converts an existing 3G dongle into a WIFI router, only for using mobile broadband instead of the home WIFI.

The mobile mroadband WIFI Hub is compatible with the Huawei E122, E1550, E156G, E169, E1750, E1820, E353u, E367u, ZTE MF112 and MF627 dongles.

ZTE’s MF10 adaptor supports WIFI access for devices such as phones, computers, tablets, with a mains power adaptor and a range of 30 metres, with an Ethernet socket too.

This is ideal for locations where home broadband speeds are low or non-existent, where the device is even compatible with the Three premium dongle – with 21Mbps HSPA+ speeds, faster than common home broadband.

Three hasn’t announced any costs or arrival dates for the ZTE MF10, only that it will be available soon along with news the network is aiming to have 80-percent HSPA+ coverage in the UK by the end of the year.
