Motorola sold 100,000 Xoom tablets in three months, Windows Phone ‘Mango’ update is now available for all WP7 mobile phones, Sainsbury’s is to launch their own mobile phone network, Virgin Media offered free Spotify Premium for six months on mobile phones and Nokia Windows Phone 7 ‘Mango’ Lumia 800 mobile phone is under £400 on pay as you go deals with Three.
Earlier on in the week, One Mobile Ring published its Final Thoughts on Nokia World 2011 and Research In Motion updated BlackBerry Messenger. We brought out unboxing pictures of the first Nokia Lumia 800 Microsoft Windows Phone 7 handset and on video too. OMR published a piece predicting the Motorola Xoom 2 will be launched the next day , LG denied Android ‘Ice Cream Sandwich’ 4.0 update rumours and Nokia opts for Ericsson for dual core processors in Windows Phone 7 run handsets, whilst Vodafone seeks 12 rural communities, for a mobile coverage test.
Later on in the week, the Motorola Razr, the world’s thinnest phone, faced delays, Symantec releases a new security products for Android, with a scream and Duke Nukem 3D arrived on the Android Market for Google mobile OS based devices. HTC Sensation XL became available for delivery SIM free and unlocked for £486, Angry birds reached half a billion downloads and we published a First Impressions Review of the Nokia Windows Phone 7 Lumia 800. Motorola launched two new Xoom 2 Android ‘Honeycomb’ tablets and we brought out hands on pictures of the Motorola Xoom 2 media edition.
