One part of the Everything Everywhere mobile phone network Orange has accidently unveiled the yet be officially announced San Francisco II mobile phone – as the successor to this year’s ZTE Blade network-branded handset.
Orange has released all the details on the San Francisco II from the network’s phone support page, but quickly removed the item; only Google cache has still retained all the information.
The San Francisco II is reportedly the rebranded ZTE Crescent, which arrives with a 3.5-inch AMOLED 800×480 WVGA capacitive touch screen, whilst running from a single core 800MHz processor, with 512MB of memory, a 5 megapixel camera and the Android ‘Gingerbread’ 2.3 OS.
ZTE’s Blade or the original Orange San Francisco mobile phone had the same screen size and quality, with a lower 600MHz CPU, the lesser 3.15MP camera and the older Android ‘Éclair’ 2.3 platform.
The new San Francisco II will ship with support for HD Voice and WIFI signal boost, for both canceling out background noise on calls and improving the phone’s signal whilst at home.
Orange hasn’t released any tariff details or prices for the San Francisco II, although they are still carrying the first device for £89.99 + £20 top up on pay as you go deals. One Mobile Ring believes might be matched, or could come very close on the new model.
