Orange announces ZTE own branded San Francisco II

San Francisco II

Officially

Mobile phone network Orange has launched the San Francisco II Android mobile phone, on pay as you go deals with cost attached of £99 for the device.

Orange accidentally made public the ZTE rebranded handset last week along with all of its details, by posting the phone’s particulars to their own support pages. The one part of the Everything Everywhere company quickly removed the page, but it was still available from Google’s cache.

The San Francisco II is the update to the also, ZTE made San Francisco, from earlier this year and will still be aimed at pre pay customers.

The new mobile phone arrives with a 3.5-inch WVGA capacitive TFT touch screen, a single core 800MHz processor, a 5 megapixel camera, 512MB of memory and support for 16GB microSD cards, whilst running from Android Gingerbread 2.3.

Orange’s original San Francisco came with a 3.5-inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen, with a 600MHz CPU, a 3.15MP camera with 512MB of memory, support for 32GB microSD cards and shipped with the Android ‘Froyo’ 2.3 OS.

Orange is selling the San Francisco II exclusively from Orange shops, telesales and orange.co.uk/shop from late November on Orange pay as you go plans – with a £10 top-up.
