Popular high-street mobile phone retailer Phones 4u has announced a partnership with well-established handset maker Huawei, where the phone reseller will solely be stocking their latest mobiles.

Phones 4u has unveiled the news that the Huawei Blaze and Vision phones will exclusively be sold by them in Q4 of this year under the manufactures own name, and not under a carrier’s such as Vodafone or Orange.

This follows on from ZTE who recently made public they are also coming out from under the network rebranding naming umbrella, by having distributor Brightpoint as a partner to sell their phones with their own name attached and a mobile phone network’s.

Phones 4u Trading Director Scott Hooton commented: “With the new Vision and Blaze devices, it’s clear that Huawei is serious about becoming a key challenger in the competitive smartphone space.”

Huawei Executive Vice President Mark Mitchinson said: “The Blaze and Vision will be among the very best-specified Android smartphones in the market and we are delighted that Phones 4u has taken the decision to enter into a truly strategic partnership with Huawei, a partnership that offers great consumer value without compromise.”

The Phones 4u-Huawei deal starts with the Vision and Blaze handsets, which run on the Android ‘Gingerbread’ 2.3 OS. The Vision is supported by 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM 8255 processor, where both devices will be available from Phones 4u stores and online in the coming months.
