For just £15
Mobile phone network Three has made public the Sony Ericsson Live with Walkman handset is being sold by them on contracts, starting from £15 a month.
Sony Ericsson’s Live with Walkman phone was launched in August this year, as the joint Swedish-Japanese mobile phone manufacturing venture’s first ever Google Android handset. The previous models all ran a bespoke OS, or in the case of this year’s Mix Walkman – was Java based.
The mobile phone arrives with a 3.2-inch touch screen, whilst powered by a 1GHz processor, with a 5 megapixel camera capable of HD video recording and the Android ‘Gingerbread’ 2.3 OS, plus the Sony Ericsson four-corner overlay to the platform.
The Live comes with a dedicated Walkman key, offering direct access to music with a free month’s trial of Sony’s music streaming service ‘Entertainment Music Unlimited’.
There is also the distortion minimising xLoud speaker technology, along with Facebook Inside integration features that allow people to ‘like’ their favourite tracks on Facebook.
Three is carrying the Sony Ericsson Live with Walkman on the Text 100 tariff, with 100 minutes, a 5,000 text message bundle and a 500MB data allowance, for £15 a month. The phone is also around on the infamous One Plan, with 2,000 minutes, 5,000 texts and a truly unlimited data allowance, for £27 a month.
One Mobile Ring caught up with Sony Ericsson at a press event of late in London, where we published a hands-on walkthrough in pictures here and on video here.
